Things I'm Loving This Thursday

My lovely friend, Teresha over at Marlie and Me, invites us to share what we are loving right now. So here I go as I try and not look at that bowl of Halloween candy.

  1. I'm glad that I decided to do the dishes at 11:30 last night. I fought the temptation to fall back to sleep. It's no fun finding all those dirty dishes in the morning.

  2. I'm loving the gently rising morning sunshine as I glance out my window.

  3. Three out of four kids are awake on this day off, and I'm happy to report that there have been no battles yet. It's a long day ahead, but I can savor this peace for now.

  4. Instead of sighing when I see my wild bed head right now, I decided to laugh and accept my crazy mane. Gone are the days when I worried about whether each hair was in place.

  5. It will be a wonderful Thursday because my one in a million Mom is coming to visit today.
My kids are calling for waffles so I better run and put on my Kelly's Diner hat. If you would like to share what you're loving on this Thursday, please jump over to Marlie and Me and link up. Enjoy being YOU today :)

P.S. Do you think I should hide that Halloween candy? I know that I should have someone else hide it. My chocolate addiction is taking over most days. And you know that I'm going to be very tempted today with all this kid energy bouncing off the walls!

I'd probably have someone else hide the candy, but not before hiding my own stash from it ;)

Enjoy your Mom today, the weather's gorgeous for a visit!

I can understand your chocolate addiction! Oh my. Hope your visit with your mom is wonderful!

Today I'm loving this life, in that I can get the kids on the bus and scoot them off, grab my favorite morning coffee or tea, and sit down to do one of the things I love most: write.

I know that feeling about doing the dishes the night before. Today's not a holiday here in Ontario anymore. People weren't honouring the vets so some time ago only a few of the provinces still get the day off.

Waffles! I'd love to eat over at Kelly's diner. Have a wonderful day with the gang and your mom!

Doing dishes in the morning from the night before is no fun. I speak from experience on that one. Yay for no battles! Hopefully the day ends that way as well. Loved this list. As far as the Halloween candy is concerned, I agree with Joanne, that sounds exactly like something I'd do. ;)

I know where you're coming from regarding the dirty dishes. I never leave them till morning otherwise it just spoils my day!!

Have someone else hide it! I am in the same boat and when it is right in front of me, it is even more tempting!

I love waking up to a clean kitchen, but even more so, I love waking up to my husband cleaning the kitchen. I got a glimpse of it this morning, but it is a sight I rarely see!

Don't hide the candy...I had a Twix for breakfast. Oh, and a piece of bacon. How's that for a nutricious start for the day?

I always figure "out of sight, out of mind" for candy.

I always try to have the dishes done the night before, except for in the heart of winter when the joy of hands in hot water to warm up makes up for doing them the cold of morning.

Have a good day, I enjoyed reading all the things you're enjoying about today.

We here had heavy rain high winds and it was oh so cold.

Hiding the chocolate just makes you want it more. Treat yourself, but remember moderation. Oh, forget it! Just enjoy!

just eat the good candy and get rid of the rest.

Don't just hide it if it's taking over -- find a dentist office who is still buying the candy back from the kids and get a little extra pocket change!
I'm thankful for sleeping children. It's been a day. I'm also thankful for healthy, well children.
