Microfiction Monday

It's Microfiction Monday over at stony river. We are invited to write a short story inspired by a select picture in just 140 characters (including spacing and punctuation).

As Rayna ascended, she gently caressed the softest of manes. Rayna breathed deeply as she left her maiden days behind. His hands held tight.

Enjoy your Monday!

I just came from another blogger who posted on this picture - both of yours were such different feelings to them. BUT I want to say you both chose the name "Rayna" - intersting!

Are his hands possessive or protective? Only time will tell, but I don't have a good feeling about this ...

Like the best MMs, this leaves one wanting more. I love the way you ended it: the hands holding tight could be either possessive or protective, as Quilly points out. Food for thought.

Have a great week.

Well- the horse or the man? both have mystical qualities...gratitude and recognition of beauty.

Love it! I think you should check out this author I just discovered. Kate Morton. Her two books The House at Riverton and the Hidden Garden were excellent and I'll bet you would love them. If you haven't read them let me know and I will send you the House at Riverton. I borrowed the other.
