Can an always random mind be a sign of genius?? I ask with one eyebrow raised :)

It seems like I'm always posting while eating. Queen of multitasking, I guess :) Now I'm eating my salad and being a very good girl. I am dreaming about dessert, but I just saw an episode of "Thintervention" and feel depressed about the amount of exercise it takes to burn off 2 Oreos. Why do they have to give me that information??? It's not a good day for me to think about calories, especially today when I'm surrounded by pink cupcakes.

Thanks so much for all your wonderful birthday wishes yesterday! You all know how to brighten my day with each and every comment. Who needs therapy when we have blogging? LOL.

Are you curious to hear about the big event that happened in my house yesterday afternoon as I rushed around to get ready for my birthday trip to the bookstore?

I know, I know, the anticipation is building. Here is an event that is typical of my life.

DRUMROLL PLEASE!!!

I'll bring you right into the moment:

Me (yelling from my bedroom as I try to put on my capris): What's going on out there?

Son #2: Mom, you don't want to see this!

Me (sort of in my capris and opening the bedroom door): Who is going after who right now? (I tried to speak in a happy birthday voice, though I feared his response.)

Son #2: Mom, look for yourself.

Me (curious and concerned at the same time): Are you in the bathroom?

Son #2: It's flooding!!!!!

Me: Not the toilet!!! (no more happy birthday voice :)

That wasn't the best present to receive on my birthday. Gratefully, the flood stayed in my bathroom. After 30 minutes, I managed to clean up the mess. Needless to say, I had to find another pair of capris. I still need to make that trip to the bookstore.

Look how "42" is already full of surprises for me!!!

Oh my gosh! No! I so wanted it to be a dancing/chocolate/reading day for you. Though I will admit, you did have me laughing here. Why? Because I can so IDENTIFY. :)

I have flooded my bathroom twice since moving into the condo. Toilets were clogged both times with paper towels. Once this happened on Christmas Eve, and thank God the plumbing department guy at the Home Despot helped me choose the right equipment to resolve my clog.

By the way, never flush paper towels down the toilet.

Argh...that is so not fun. And definitely not something you deserve on your birthday. Just remember we are given that which we can handle.

Hit that bookstore and stop feeling the guilt for Oreos. The might have forgotten to take into account how much it takes to just live.

Your sense of humour does you justice,
i get guilty if I eat something "Forbidden".

Take care and have fun.

Where would you be with the kids to keep you on your toes. Aside from a simple flooding matter, I hope you're birthday was a success.

Ohhh no. Think we'll miss these moments some day? We'll look at our completely intact and non-overflowing toilets and wish for the good ole days? Ha...

Oh Septembermon...sorry I missed the B'day....HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY!

I HATE plumbing problems. It seems that I always make them worse when I try to fix them and still end up calling the plumber.

Goodness!!!! I wish we lived closer so I could come over, and put you out of the house for the day, so you could go on a date with yourself, your hubby, or whomever! You need a "Mommy's Away-cation!" Much love my friend.

Ok so I sorta want to know how long to burn off 2 Oreos - but mostly because I don't actually like Oreos. That's probably wrong, but so be it.

And YIKES on the bathroom flood. At least you knew what to do - I'd be stumped. Fingers crossed you get that bookstore trip in soon!

that is definately not a good present.

Happy (belated) Birthday. I am sure the Universe will make up for the flooded toilet with a present that will make you happy.

Happy birthday, Kelly, regardless of it being belated.

And I'm sorry for your distress that you encountered on your special day.

You sound like a wonderful mother, and I wish you luck with your familie's future.

Best regards, Andrew.

Love love. Bye.

Happy Birthday Kelly! I just got back from a cruise to Alaska and am getting caught up on blog reading. I hope you had a wonderful birthday, even if you didn't get to the bookstore.

This is so funny-okay, not that your toilet overflowed, but that my next post is going to involve a toilet story. A clean one I promise! Oh, I'm glad everything turned out for you. Please tell me you made it to the bookstore...
