Aloha Friday - I have a question for you

It's Aloha Friday over at An Island Life. Easing into the weekend, let's play along with an easy question. My question for this week:

Do you like roller coasters?

In three days, I will be holding on for dear life as I ride a roller coaster with my sons. I haven't been on a roller coaster in 5 years. At least, it's not one of those upside down rides. Who knows? Maybe I'll be brave and go on twice!!

Happy Friday!

I used to love roller coasters then I developed a fear of heights in my late 20s (never knew why). I haven't ridden a roller coaster since.

I HATE roller coasters.

I do like them...but not the flipping over 200mph ones anymore! I did that last summer and realized I am too old to handle it! But I do like a more "old fashioned" tummy dropping ones!

I'm roller coaster neutral. I'll do them with friends, but I'm not driven to do them. Life has enough ups and downs, who needs artificial stress? Yet, if you can handle a roller coaster, doesn't life's ups and downs become more tame by comparison? Thrills on a track... kind of like a horror movie... stress on purpose... almost like sports? or a suspense novel?

I used to love them, but now not so much :) I have been having this weird urge to do something adventurous & go on an exciting ride...but then I got pregnant. LOL...no rides for me for awhile!
But being pregnant is pretty exciting too right? :)

Do tell, where or where are you going? The last rollercoaster I went on was in Hershey Park and it was fairly tame which is just my speed. My first rollercoaster was Space Mountain and that was almost my last too. Have fun :) My boys turn to be jealous :)

I used to love roller coasters. I still enjoy them, but I must be getting older as they scare me more now!

I used to hate roller coasters. I love them now, but I can only ride 1 or 2 before I'm too motion sick to ride anymore. Good luck on your ride!

It depends. I don't like really really really high ones. I don't like old rickety ones. I like fast, smooth-riding, loopy twisty steel ones!

Have fun!

Not at all. And I live 10 minutes away froma huge amusement park all of our out of town friends always want to visit. Yuck! But I hope you have fun. I know one day I'll have to suck it up and do it with my boys and have fun while sucking it up.

Oh I so love roller coasters. Anytime anywhere. No one in my family does though... I'm still trying to get the wee ones to join me. Someday.

Good luck on riding the rollercoasters...I have to admit that I don't like them. But I hope you are brave and try and ride everything twice!!

I hope you enjoy it. I couldn't go on one, not to save my life. I don't think my heart could stand the shock.

Hey girlie,

I LOVED roller coasters when I was younger but as I got older, I could not ride them without getting very, very dizzy and sick to my stomach. *sigh* Getting old stinks!

Hope you have fun!

Noooooo, don't do it! Thinking about it isn't the same as doing it.

Good luck with that! I will do a coaster if I have to, but the fear of dying gets greater with aging. LOL!

I was just discussing roller coasters with a co-worker who recently went to Great Adventure (Six Flags):) My last ride was in Nitro, I was in my early 30s. I knew then that I was too old to get in one again. You are one brave woman Kelly. :)

I liked roller coasters until I turned around 45. I learned my body wasn't as elastic as it used to be.

I used to love roller coasters, but I haven't been on one in years! Now I am afraid that it might make me sick- the way swings strangely make me nauseous now...

For medical reasons, my ride days are gone. I do miss them so.....Have fun. ;)

It has been years since I've gotten on a roller coaster. Surprisingly, I seem to like the ones that turn me upside-down and all around more than the ones that go up and down. Hope you had a blast!
