Honey, remember when we were two kids excited about our future?

You all know how music helps me feel better. I dedicate this song to my husband. We played it at our wedding. Steve Perry's voice was amazing. Thanks everyone for being such wonderful friends :) I'm lucky to have you!

We'll be okay. As a team, we'll figure this thing out. So do you think forming a cheesy tribute band is a bad idea? A bar full of drunk patrons may throw some dollars our way. I could use some of my old 80's clothes. Wonder if I should maybe now color my hair Cindy Lauper pink? That would be a change for sure :) Enjoy your evening!

Cheesy 80s bands are the hip thing now, Kel! Or better yet, find yourself a run-down school bus on Craigslist, paint it, and get your kids to join the band. What the world needs now is a Partridge Family tribute band!!!!

Steve Perry is amazing. So is that song! And so are you, your husband and your family. You will get through this uncertain, rough time! I know you will. And we'll all be here to listen and pray for you in the mean time. Hugs!

Kelly, you picked one of my favorite bands of all time. (I have their 3 CD greatest hits and my kids know the words to several of their songs!)
Pink steaked hair may work for an 80's tribute band, but maybe not at the bus stop or PTA meetings... LOL! Hang in there.

I'm with Katina on this one. "God will come through for you guys." If I can help, you know how to reach me. Oh, I love the song. Go ahead and form the "cheesy tribute band" and dye your hair Cydni Lauper pink. Your little princess would love it, at least. :-)

Kim is right, Kelly, there is a plan at work. You two will be fine, you'll struggle a bit but you'll get there, together. That's the main thing. Remember, keep your chin high. Hugs.

Music is a wonderful thing in life and loved your song. Why not have a cheesy band? Music makes the world go round, we all have different taste.
Loved the post and of course the song.

Take care.

I like Kitty's Partridge Family idea. And also the pink hair. I dyed my hair maroon once but not on purpose...

I love that song as well! Kelly, if you form an 80's tribute band I will be the first in line to buy a ticket. I don't know how I'll get to there from here, but I'll find a way. Good thoughts, hugs and prayers still coming your way...hang in there.

I love the fact that you not only choose to smile, but have found a way for laughter in the midst of your trials. I try to do the same, no matter how rough it gets. Keep holding on sweetie, I know God will see you and your family through. :)

Awwww... thanks for the memories. I adore Journey! I will definitely keep a little prayer out in the universe for you and your family.

It is a rough time to wandering about this big, old rock we call Earth. Hope - such a powerful word in these times. **hugs**
