Sunday Citar - Valentine's Day Love!

Frederick Lord Leighton - "The Painter's Honeymoon"

I would love to spend all my time writing to you; I'd love to share with you all that goes through my mind, all that weighs on my heart, all that gives air to my soul; phantoms of art, dreams that would be so beautiful if they could come true.
Luigi Pirandello

a very happy V-day Kelly! all the best friend.. here i want to quote this, my fav.

When You Are Old
By W. B. Yeats

When you are old and gray and full of sleep,
And nodding by the fire, take down this book,
And slowly read, and dream of the soft look
Your eyes had once, and of their shadows deep;

How many loved your moments of glad grace,
And loved your beauty with love false or true;
But one man loved the pilgrim soul in you,
And loved the sorrows of your changing face.

And bending down beside the glowing bars
Murmur, a little sadly, how love fled
And paced upon the mountains overhead
And his face amid a crowd of stars.

I can almost hear the man whispering that to the woman in the picture.
I often muse about what would happen if I had all day to write ... and then I remember that my writing is inspired by all of the beautiful things that happen in my house with all of my boys during the day.
Happy Valentine's Day, friend.

What a gorgeous picture! I love the saying too. I have to thank you for helping me to rekindle my love for art...I had forgotten how much I love it. I am in search of the perfect piece to place above our sofa in the living room (which has been a plain white wall since we moved in to the apartment last June!).

God bless Kelly!

The painter dances his soulful song as the poet paints a masterpiece with words.When the beat of another's heart fills your chest, love surrounds you fills you... and just when your cup can hold no more.... Another wave of overtakes you, washes over you and Love is there shining bright. A Light that can not be extinguished.... Love... Enveloping painting with words of soft ribbon to join hearts together.... Happy Valentines day to you and yours. Love and Light, Nina P
