Poetry quickfire

The Push of the Walk

Ninety seconds into the briskness
my mind won't admit the weary.

Possessive of my solo jaunt
I want to wrestle that fatigue.

February air accelerates the stride
as I ignore the tired ache.

Energy flows through the mighty soul
my body concedes to the expected.

I'm literally off to the bus stop right now! Do you see how much I love that little walk?

Great verb choices, painting a good visual of your accelerating walk in the cold. I can feel February in your words.

Yes. I can see. We need our walks. We fit our words into them.

This is great Kelly! Right from the title through the February air, and that flowing energy.

And yes. I do see! :)

I used to have to walk 4 blocks from my car to my cubicle every day. I miss that walk...

The cold air will do you good-not! We just came inside after shoveling some more and I'm pleased to report that a snowblower is in our future... I hope you're not getting what we're getting!

These were your thoughts walking to the bus stop? I am usually thinking something like, "oh man, I have to pee and I can't wait to get back to my coffee." LOL
