"One" by U2

For my friend, Judith. Aren't these lyrics beautiful? I'm overwhelmed to think of the pain emanating from some of these images. We need to be here for each other.

I just stopped by after visiting Joanne's Whole Latte Life, after reading her commentary about art that moves us, which classes we'd sign up for. I mentioned "photography," and your post today supports what I said there about the power of images with words, the power of photography. These are very moving images. Thank you.

This song still makes me weepy. Reminds me of my college years.

Thanks for sharing - I haven't heard/seen this version and yes, the images are difficult to see. I've always loved this song.

I've also seen 'september mom' all over randi's blog before, but who knows why it's taken me so long to come around. Glad I'm here and I will be back.

Beautiful song, sad images. The two arts combined provide an amazing impact, so effective.

Oh, Kelly, my dear friend, I LOVE this song! It did not readily come to mind for some reason. Yes, the images are heartbreaking. But when we see such things it should pull those people nearest to us even closer and also find those who are a bit further away and bring them in. We are helpers one to another. "Carry each other." The lyrics are great. Thank you! Thank you!

I love this song and U2 is such a talented group. I saw them in concert years ago. Great concert.

This is one of those U2 songs that really grips me every time I hear it. And then I ruin it by howling at the end. lol.
Did you check out those bands from last week that I shared in your comments?

Sometimes we suffer needlessly under the mindless care of culpable hands. Thank you. Take care. Bye.

I am going to have that song going through my head now for days -- and the images with us. Absolutely so powerful!
