Five Words Meme

My pal Jenners over at Life With A Little One and More did a word association meme. You write about the first word that comes to your mind when you hear the "trigger" word. It sounded like a fun idea for a blog post, so I decided to have Jenners throw some random words my way.

Plum - Once I read it, I said "odd". I've never had a plum, but my husband always wants to have one. I stick with the boring world of bananas, apples, oranges and grapes. When we go food shopping, I will usually say something like "Why do you like plums? That's an odd choice." I know, I have issues.

Frost - My response: sugar. I tell the kids that the grass looks sugary when the frost hits.

Shower - Quick response for this one: Heaven. I bet all you Moms know why.

Eyes - The word "light" came to me right away. Eyes light up a face to me. Even tired ones :)

Glisten - Now that's a word I don't say everyday. The word "sparkle" jumped out at me. Those are two holiday happy words. I've been playing online Scrabble a lot lately, I think I'll try and use that fancy word "glisten". Maybe I'll get a triple word score.

If you would like to play, just let me know and I'll give you five words too.

These memes are so much fun...I did one a while back. Very interesting responses. I think it would be fun to post 5 words and have as many that wanted link up just to see how different the replies would be.

Very interesting responses and really? Never tried a plum...you're missing out, they're so juicy and sweet!

God bless!

This looks fun, I'll play along!

Plum - Professor Plum, with the wrench, in the study. (From the game or movie Clue).

Frost - A frosty from Wendy's would be nice right about now.

Shower - Not long enough. Did I wash my hair twice or was that conditioner? You understand, right Kelly?

Eyes - The "Eye" of the Tiger. I heard that song today while I was jogging. Very motivational.

Glisten - Snow. It's been so cold here in Florida that I wish it would snow. It'd make the cold easier to deal with. At least then Vivian and I could play in it.

A good incentive to get the thought process going. I really like playing scrabble, but since I have moved away from my home city I have not yet come across any new players. Enjoy your fun! Thank you. Take care. Bye.

Interesting word associations. You can tell I just came from the grocery store because frost brought up the idea of frosted flakes for me. Man, now I'm hungry!

You've never had a plum? How is this possible? Once they're in season, you have GOT to go eat a plum. They're so yum - tart and sweet at the same time. Do you eat peaches or kiwi or pineapple or blackberries or ummm other stuffs?

My kids love plums, juicy, sweet. Showers, hot, relaxing, used to be my only vice, frost...on our grass every morning, glistening...tears threatening to come...eyes, the doorway into the soul.
