Tot Talk Tuesday

Jillian tends to notice details. Lately, she has been comparing my "style" with other moms around town. Check out these questions and observations from my four year old.

"Mommy, why don't you wear animal clothes?" You should have seen how this mom rocked her leopard shirt outside the school.

"Mommy, where are your tall shoes?" I think Indiana Jones would need to lead a team into the deep, dark recesses of my closet to find my heels.

"Mommy, can you make your eyebrows blue too?" Jillian was impressed with one lady's blue eye shadow application at the supermarket.

Jump over to The Monkeys and Me to see what all the tots have to say!

Too funny! I haven't worn tall shoes in a long time either!

I love the details that children notice. I bet if you asked her to draw the things she saw, she'd have a lot of details in the picture!

that's great--I hope you explained that tall shoes are meant to torture women, so we don't wear them unless we have to, right? :-P

You've got a very hip fashion consultant there, she's tuned in to the latest styles, most definitely. Animal prints are all the thing nowadays!

Out of the mouth of babe. Too cute!

You should take her advice. Tall shoes, animal print skirt and blue eyeshadow? You would look great!

Blue eyebrows??? I was facinated as a kid by the blue rinse "old" women used to get when I was a kid. Jillian sounds like a doll, now go and get those animal clothes out.

Man, that girl must make you roll over laughing all the time!

I agree with Mari - tall shoes, animal print shirt, and blue eye shadow - that would be quite the sight!

One of the things that attracts me to certain people is the things they notice.

Each of us puts a spin on the world we perceive. A few of us put a positive spin on things.

And kids. Often, they just add spin.

Too cute! I just love this feature every week. And you should rock a leopard shirt, blue eyeshadow and some big heels -- classy!!!

Dagnabit, you didn't like my blue eye shadow? I spent HOURS on that (kidding, kidding). Fortunately the wee ones have yet to question my fashion sense. Not saying they shouldn't, just saying they haven't. Yet.

A few weeks ago, I took my kids to buy some new clothes. I actually found a pair of shoes for myself. My son said, "Mom, those look girly. They're nice." Because, evidently, I don't look girly enough. Man oh man.

I love the things little people say! Pete called my "tall shoes" my "snappy shoes" because of the sound they made on hard floors!

What a funny post! Jillian sounds like a writer in the making, very observant.

Children are such a treasure trove of goodies.

Happy writing!

What an observer of people she is! Believe me tall shoes aren't that fun when you are wearing them everyday to work. In fact some days I bring an extra pair (flats) and wear them around unless i have a meeting.

haha these are awesome...if only we could all be so observant, we woud probably appreciate eachothers differences more
