Tot Talk Tuesdays

Raining buckets here in New York today. The kids are bouncing off of the walls. I'm taking a referee break to share a cute story with you. My daughter, Jillian, gave me some more good material for "Tot Talk Tuesdays" hosted by Niecey over at The Monkeys and Me. Please click on the above image to see what all the tots have to say!

Here is a conversation between Jillian and her grandma about visiting the pool.

Jillian: Grandma, you can share my watering can at the pool.

Grandma: Oh, that would be fun!

Jillian: Grandma, don't forget to wear sun lotion. You don't want to be red like a lobster.

Grandma: Thank you for reminding me.

Jillian: Oh yeah, Grandma, one more thing. You should wear a pink bikini.

Grandma: Jillian, I don't think I could fit into a bikini.

Jillian: That's o.k. Grandma. You look beautiful in anything!

My daughter loves her beach Barbie in her bikini. In her mind, all of her Barbies are "mommies". Jillian tells me that I should wear a bikini too. Whenever we go to the pool, I tell her that "my bikini" is lost way back in the closet. At the pool, she asked another mother in a one piece suit, "Did you lose your bikini too?"

Those buckets are reaching all the way here to CT! They predicted tropical rains today, and that is exactly what is falling from the sky, nonstop, all day! I guess you won't have any trips to the pool today :(

Our weather isn't much better. It's not raining yet but it looks like it's about to pour.
I love Jillian's innocence! Why shouldn't everyone wear a pink bikini???

Hope the rain stops long enough to send your crew outside for a while:)

How sweet, telling Grandma that she looks beautiful in anything! I loved that she asked the other mother if she lost her bikini too! You can never predict what's going to come out of their mouths. Your little Jillian sounds adorable.

LoL, I enjoyed your post! Kids are so innocent and sweet...until they become teenagers. That's another story. What a beautiful name: Jillian. It's raining here too in PA.

Lol. Let us all pretend we are Barbie's for a day and find a pink bikini. NOT! But that is so adorable.

I love the idea's and thoughts of children; they are untainted and untamed! Truth (or a Childs version of it) comes out, making us stop, think and smile! If we all could find our pink bikini's... (I think mine shrunk years ago!! :-) Love and Light, Nina P.

What a sweetie! I love hearing what the little ones have to say; it just brightens the whole day! I hope the rain doesn't last too long for you ... I hate being stuck in the house when the weather is stinky.

I think I need Jillian to come over to my house to tell me that I'd look beautiful in a pink bikini. :D

Sweet story.

That is so sweet! I wish I still had a toddler running around here telling me I was beautiful and should wear a pink bikini.

So cute...and if only we all could look as beautiful in our bikinis as our little adoring ones truly do believe we do! I love when my son see my cheap flowered Wal-Mart shirt and says "mommy ... you look beautiful in that." It just makes me happy ... and you know what, I do feel beautiful!
